Was hospitalized for some type of bleeding and was not given anything for pain except Tylenol. I had a blood transfusion and two iron transfusions due to the severity of my condition. I'm still in pain and home now. I'm glad to be alive. I wish I was given an endoscope and surgery but "they don't do that here." The rest of it was good. I'm so hurt they will not give proper pain management. Glad to get blood.
This was for the Advantist Urgent Health in Estacada, Oregon. My visit was excellent from start to finish. The girls at the reception area were pleasant and efficient, the tech who took my information down and did a wrap on my foot was great, and the radiologist who took my x-rays was outstanding as well at the end I got to talk to the doctor and she explained why I was having issues with my injury and was super pleasant and went above board to make sure I understood everything. I would also like to add I did not have to wait very long to be seen. I was very impressed in my whole visit.
As usual the clinic on Mount Hood does not fail to impress. They have been our rock since 2005 and have only gotten better as the years go on. The urgent care option has really expanded options for locals. I was extremely sick and it's a comfort to go where I'm familiar and where it's close. The staff is always kind and accommodating.
If you are a VA Community Care patient, run far and fast! They tried to balance bill my 101 year old grandfather because they failed to file the appropriate paperwork to get paid. Samaritan Health System provides much better care and hasnt failed to have referrals in place. Food for thought!
Connie, the front desk associate was friendly and professional, very helpful, as I was uneasy going to see a doctor (avoid it) but I was peeing blood and concerned something was wrong. The doctor gave me the right medicine and told me the medicine would turn it dark golden color, which it did, but no more blood in my urine the next morning! He was straight-forward about various scenarios. I was appreciative of their kindness, and April the nurse was great too.
The Doctors, Nurses and other staff are always friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. I don't go to any other urgent care, and my primary care physician is in this office too. I highly recommend this office for your health needs
My doctor retired. I was told if I picked a new primary my prescription would be refilled. Even though I have to wait until may for a new patient appointment.
I had just seen Sarah Lym for pain that felt like electric shooting down my arm so I picked her. She told me in that appointment she could refill for me until that first appointment. When I requested a refill I was told the doctor did not feel comfortable refilling my medication. I let the nurse know that they told me they would refill until the appointment she said they would not have told me that. One medication was a hormone and one was a pain medication for my spinal stenosis. I realized the pain medication might be the issue so I asked the nurse not even for the hormone medication she said not even for that. She asked if I wanted transferred to the appointment desk to make an appointment for my medication. I told her yes. After being on hold for ever I hung up and called back. I explained to the appointment desk what I needed the appointment for and she told me that Adventist Health never gives out pain medication. I let her know she didn’t know what she was talking about. I just needed appointment for my medication and I wanted another appointment for a different doctor after all this I wasn’t sure I felt comfortable having this doctor(PA) if she wasn’t able to look at my records and refill my medication after she assured me she could.
When I arrived to my appointment the following Monday. The first thing she let me know when she came in the room was I have two appointments for new patient with her. I told that should have been for a different doctor and why I was requesting one. She told me that the nurse was temporary fill in and she didn’t read her instructions. I told her she should let this nurse know she was giving out wrong information and she acted as if she didn’t care just wrote down the name of her nurse. So so far I have paid for 2 visits with this PA and I still do not know what is wrong with my arm and being lied to by the nurse. Seven weeks into this. I let her know my arm is still feeling like an electricity is shutting through it and. Her remedy was to give me less pain relief prescription and blood work on my kidney and liver and thyroid. All you have to do is look at my record and see I have not abused my medication. I really do not know what to do now. Spinal stenosis, degenerative disk disease and ruptured disks in my back. With no relief. Because it makes the PA feel comfortable. ?!
I guess I am glad I could help with their comfort level. Ha
The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. Dr Amy is down to earth, caring and actually listens to her patients ! By the time my appointment is over, we've discussed and made plans to deal with what I came in for. An all around great experience !
